Regular Servicing & Inspections
All vehicles undergo routine servicing at scheduled intervals, following manufacturer guidelines. In addition, each car is inspected before and after every booking to ensure it meets our quality standards.

The armoured S-Class is hired by three distinct groups. Corporate security teams procuring a temporary vehicle for a principal visiting London for a specific period, typically an overseas executive or board-level individual whose home organisation provides close protection. Private security firms managing a protective detail for a high net worth individual or their family across London or on a UK-wide itinerary. And organisations whose own fleet is committed elsewhere and who need a certified armoured vehicle available on short notice for a specific engagement.
In each case the key requirement is the same: a vehicle that provides certified ballistic and blast protection without announcing that protection to observers. The W223 S-Class platform achieves this. At a hotel entrance in Mayfair, outside a private equity office in the City, or collecting from a private terminal at Farnborough, the armoured S-Class looks like any other S-Class in the vicinity. The principal’s itinerary is not signalled by the vehicle.

Every vehicle in our fleet is maintained to the highest standards to ensure safety, performance, and a flawless driving experience.
B6 is the fourth level of the EN 1063 / VPAM certification scale for ballistic protection in vehicles. The glass is laminated multi-layer polycarbonate rated to stop repeated rounds from a high-powered rifle. The door panels, floor, and roof contain armour-grade steel and polyethylene composite. The tyres are run-flat specification allowing sustained movement at reduced speed after a tyre breach. The fuel tank is self-sealing. The door seals prevent gas penetration. None of this is visible or perceptible to passengers inside the vehicle. The interior maintains full S-Class specification including rear executive seating, climate control, and the MBUX infotainment system.
The additional weight of the armour package increases kerb weight by approximately 500 kg over the standard S-Class. The suspension and braking systems are uprated to compensate. The vehicle handles predictably for a trained driver familiar with armoured platforms, and the air suspension manages the additional weight without the excessive body roll that retrofit-armoured vehicles often produce.

// FAQs
The armoured Mercedes S-Class is built to B6 protection standard under EN 1063 / VPAM certification. This covers ballistic resistance to high-powered rifle rounds including 7.62x51mm NATO, and blast resistance to DM51 hand grenades at one metre. Run-flat tyres, self-sealing fuel tank, and gas-seal door construction are standard.
Yes. The vehicle can be operated by your organisation’s appointed driver. Starr can also supply a trained driver through the chauffeur service if required. Both options are available on a per-day or extended hire basis. Contact us to discuss operational requirements.
Pricing is provided on application and varies by duration, operational scope, and whether a Starr-supplied driver is required. Contact us at +44 203 600 1631 or sales@starrluxurycars.com. All enquiries are handled with full discretion.
No. The B6 protection package is integrated at manufacture and the vehicle is externally identical to an unprotected W223 S-Class. There are no visible modifications to the bodywork, glass profile, or exterior trim. This is a deliberate feature of manufacturer-integrated armoured vehicles.
