The current Phantom VIII uses a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 producing 563HP and 900Nm of torque, figures that are secondary to the car’s primary purpose, which is providing the quietest and most refined passenger experience of any production car. The Gallery dashboard is a sealed glass case that spans the full width of the cabin. In Starr’s Phantom, this contains a commissioned installation visible from both front and rear passenger seats. The Phantom’s rear doors are rear-hinged, they open outwards from the B-pillar rather than from the front pillar, which provides a wider opening and a more formal entry and exit experience appropriate to the car’s position in the Rolls-Royce range.
