Hire a LaFerrari in the UK

The LaFerrari is Ferrari’s halo hypercar and was produced in a strictly limited run of 499 examples, all allocated to existing Ferrari clients before the car was publicly announced. It uses a 6.3 litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 800HP combined with a KERS electric motor producing a further 163HP, giving a combined system output of 950HP. KERS stands for Kinetic Energy Recovery System, the same technology Ferrari developed for its Formula 1 programme. Unlike conventional hybrid systems that prioritise fuel economy, the LaFerrari’s KERS stores energy under braking and deploys it to supplement the V12 under acceleration, providing instantaneous torque fill at all engine speeds. The result is 0 60mph in 2.4 seconds, 0-124mph in under 7 seconds and a top speed of 217mph. Dry weight is 1,255kg, which for a car producing 950HP gives a power to-weight ratio of over 755HP per tonne. It is the most powerful Ferrari road car built to that point and remains one of the most significant road cars produced in the 21st century.

What Makes the LaFerrari Different from the 488 and 812?

The rest of the Starr Ferrari fleet consists of production cars available to any buyer. The LaFerrari was allocated only to clients with significant Ferrari purchase histories, making each of the 499 examples one of the most exclusive road cars in the world. The 812 Superfast produces 800HP from a naturally aspirated V12 and is the most powerful standard Ferrari road car. The LaFerrari exceeds it at 950HP combined through its hybrid system, and weighs 270kg less than the 812 despite being considerably more complex. Where the 812 is a front mid engine grand tourer, the LaFerrari uses a rear mid-engine layout derived directly from Ferrari’s Formula 1 packaging philosophy, placing the driver as low and centrally as possible. The carbon fibre monocoque chassis and pushrod suspension front and rear are race-derived components that appear in no other Ferrari road car. Hiring the LaFerrari is, by a significant margin, the most extraordinary automotive experience Starr Luxury Cars can arrange.
