The Porsche Macan holds a title that no rival compact SUV has managed to take from it the one that actually drives like a Porsche. Where most luxury compact SUVs prioritise ride comfort over handling, the Macan genuinely rewards an enthusiastic driver. The steering is precise, the PDK gearbox shifts faster than you’d expect to use it, and the all-wheel-drive system puts power down cleanly without drama. Starr Luxury Cars offers three variants for self-drive hire across the UK: the Macan (265bhp), Macan S (380bhp) and Macan GTS (440bhp) contact our team to confirm availability for your dates.

The base Macan with its 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder is the most relaxed of the three quick enough to feel lively in London traffic with a 5.8-second 0-60, but composed and efficient on longer motorway runs. The Macan S steps up to a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 380bhp the extra torque is noticeable from the moment you pull away, and the mid-range punch between 30mph and 70mph is genuinely strong. The Macan GTS is the one for drivers who want all of the above but with sportier suspension calibration, standard Sport Chrono, and the exhaust note turned up. At 440bhp and 4.3 seconds to 60mph, it competes with sports cars in a straight line while still fitting in a normal parking space.

Every vehicle in our fleet is maintained to the highest standards to ensure safety, performance, and a flawless driving experience.
We deliver any Macan variant directly to London Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Farnborough. The Macan’s compact footprint — noticeably smaller than the Cayenne — makes it one of the most practical airport collection cars for navigating multi-storey car parks and tight terminal drop-off zones. UK-wide delivery to any address is available on request.

The Macan is arguably the best Porsche for London self-drive hire. It’s short enough to fit in parking spaces that defeat larger SUVs, light and responsive enough that city driving doesn’t feel like a chore, and quick enough that the North Circular or a clear stretch of the M25
is actually enjoyable. The raised driving position gives good visibility without the bulk of a full-size SUV. If you’re based in Mayfair, Chelsea, Knightsbridge or the City and need a car for two or three days that works equally well on a weekend run to the Cotswolds as it does in
W1 traffic — the Macan is the one.

The Macan’s interior punches above its class. The GT Sport steering wheel, sport seats and 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management screen make it feel genuinely premium rather than aspirationally premium. It seats four adults properly five at a stretch and the boot is large enough for a long weekend. Available for delivery across London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh with flexible daily and weekly rates for corporate accounts.

To hire the Porsche Macan with Starr Luxury Cars, you will need a full UK, EU, or international driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years, with no more than 6 penalty points, and be at least 25 years of age. A refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking. Standard packages include 100 miles per day. Additional mileage can be pre-purchased at the time of booking.
