MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM STARR LUXURY CARS
The festive season is once again upon us and we prepare to say goodbye to a difficult year and warmly embrace the positivity and hope of 2021. We usually take this time to reference some of our highlights of the last year, our favourite requests, our ongoing charity involvement and any new features or services we’ve added to our offerings. Unfortunately, this has been as challenging a year for the luxury car hire industry as it has for many other businesses, individuals and families, and our hearts go out to anyone who has had felt a negative impact from Covid-19. For us, following the first nationwide lockdown in March put in place to help curb the spread of the virus, sadly we’ve not been able to help create as many magical moments as we usually would.
The 2020 Round-Up: An Unprecedented Year for the Luxury Car Hire Industry
The unexpected news of the virus hit the world hard with the residents of some countries seeing restrictions that would usually only be associated with war. Major sporting events were cancelled or altered all around the world, from Royal Ascot which went ahead in front of an empty viewing area to the cancellation of the Summer Olympics 2020 and the disruption to the Formula One World Championship. For us this meant we lost the opportunity to help create unforgettable memories and offer exclusive experiences. For some of our clients of course, this meant an untold amount of time in isolation, being away from family and friends and missing out on those experiences which bring us joy.
Many of the events, holidays, and road trips that we love providing prestige transport for were cancelled, though we did continue to provide service to commuters and individuals looking to travel in a clean, safe, and isolated environment. We already had enhanced cleaning procedures in place to make sure that every client hiring from us experienced the feeling of driving a brand-new car and our fantastic team quickly stepped up to ensure the safety of our clients and chauffeurs.
But it’s not all doom and gloom, we’ll be stepping into 2021 with a shared sense of optimism, and the hope that, whilst life may not be quite back to normal yet, we are getting there.
What to Expect from Luxury Car Hire 2021
In 2021 we are expecting international travel to pick back up and many exclusive events to go ahead. With that in mind, we are looking forward to working with our clients to create bespoke driving experiences and play a part in making up for lost time. We’ll be adding to our fleet of luxury cars and looking forward to the release of the new Mercedes S-Class, BMW IX and Jaguar XJ, ensuring you can continue to enjoy hiring and driving the latest luxury cars.
Whilst the future remains uncertain, we would like to take the opportunity to thank each of our clients who has continued to use our services and look forward to working with our clients for whom that may not have been possible this year. We hope you have a wonderful festive period and wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
