The original Lamborghini Aventador hire car is simply stunning, a true supercar in every sense of the word. First going into production in 2011, it has become one of the marque’s most popular and desirable models, thanks to its beautiful Italian styling and intimidating presence. However, in a world of Koenigsegg and Bugatti hire cars where speed and performance almost become second nature, Lamborghini are often thought of as producing stunning supercars but often not headline-stealing fast ones. And that is about to change. This year, Lamborghini have set to prove how serious they are about specs over aesthetics, revealing the new track-focussed Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
Revealed at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in late August 2018, the new 2019 edition is only the second Lamborghini to be bestowed with the coveted Jota name in the last 50 years. This beast of a supercar doesn’t just see improvements in weight, downforce and torque, it is so ridiculously fast the prototype has smashed the Nurbürgring track record, shaving 2.27 seconds off the previous record-holding Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Not only that, the new record is also 15 seconds faster than the Huracan Performante, the fastest previous Lamborghini record holder.
Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Engine and Specs
The powerful 6.5 litre V12 engine has been fully adapted and customised, ensuring the best performance yet. Lamborghini state that this track-designed high-performance edition is the first to receive all of the marque’s perfected additions in technology and engineering. Engine and design tweaks lead to improved torque, downforce and control, ensuring the new 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ hire car has a 0-62mph acceleration time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of over 217mph.
Rear Wing and Styling
As with all previous Lamborghini hire cars, the exterior has been designed with aerodynamics fully in mind. But the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ hire car is in a league of its own; with carbon fibre elements, aggressive styling and a huge rear wing all included to increase the potential speeds. The front has been completely redesigned, resulting in a wide, intimidating finish, both included to reduce weight and heighten performance. On the inside, the sporty look and feel continues with carbon fibre elements visible from every angle, as well as the luxury inclusion of Alacantra upholstery and traditional Lamborghini finishing, including exclusive stitching, driver-centric controls and contrasting colouring.
Improved Handling and New Technology
One of the main reasons that the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupé has managed to set the new record-breaking time at Nurbürgring is due to the marque’s new and improved aerodynamics system, the ALA 2.0. The first of its supercars to benefit from this, electronic flaps sit on the front splitter and engine, alternating downforce and reducing drag to help take insanely fast corners. The all-wheel drive system also sends a significantly larger amount of power to the rear wheels, helping the new 2019 Aventador SVJ hire car earn the title of Lamborghini’s most powerful production car ever made.
Limited Edition Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63
As Lamborghini was founded in 1963, it is only right that the build of their most powerful car yet is marked with a limited-edition model that recognises an extensive heritage. Of the 900 units to be produced, there will only be 63 of the rare Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 produced, making it one of the rarest supercars in the world. The 63 features stand-out graphics, rose gold coloured accents and ample carbon fibre bodywork as well as the same powerful performance of the original SVJ Coupé, ensuring a head-turning drive at any event or occasion.
It is claimed that this is a taster of what’s to come, a mere view into the future of supercars and their potential and the framework which Lamborghini will work from to keep producing press-worthy modern vehicles. One thing’s for sure, it’s a stunning and exciting revelation and we can’t wait to add the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ hire car to our line-up. With an unknown price and bounds of potential, watch this space to book the 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and be one of the first to put the fastest car to grace Nurbürgring circuit through its paces.
