Ascari Assault European Tour – A Starr Luxury Experience

ASCARI ASSAULT DATES – MONDAY, 23RD APRIL to FRIDAY, 27TH APRIL 2018

Happy New Year Everyone, 2018 is going to be an action-packed year full of Starr Luxury Experiences. From adrenaline racing days on the track to international tours and bespoke experiences, including VIP evenings at events or Starr Luxury dining experiences, keep your eyes peeled for all the action.

We are super excited to announce that we have partnered with Club GT Events to bring you exclusive European supercar tours, starting with an epic trip to Ascari. This April, we are heading down to Spain, taking in the sights of several mountains, then descending to Ronda and the amazing Ascari Race Resort.

The tour kicks off at the Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa, arguably the leading luxury hotel in Alicante, the first 3 days will be spent on a convoy of supercars hitting the best roads Spain has to offer and making pit stops at stunning Landmark 5* hotels along the way. Our routes will take us through the Sierra Nevada and down through Andalucia.

Join us on the Ascari Assault for a total cost of £6,695 per guest/car with an option of having a friend ride shotgun at an extra £950.00. The Ascari Assault package includes

• Entry for one car/ driver and option of a friend to join shotgun. If you do not own a super car, you are welcome to have a look at our supercar hire fleet, take your pick from Aston martins, Mclarens or Lamborghinis.
• Five nights accommodation (bed & breakfast) in 5 star Luxury Hotels (based on two sharing)
• All accommodation in Deluxe or Superior rooms (available upgrades)
• All evening meals and selected champagnes/ wines chosen by expert sommeliers
• Track fees at “Ascari” for four hours and a special group instructor *** to show you around the ropes.
• Secure and safe parking for your vehicle every night
• Car-to-car radio communication to stay tuned in with the team on tour.
• Support and guidance of the experienced Club GT Events crew throughout the event
• A copy of the Club GT Events “Ascari Assault” 2018 film, with your branding if you request at time of booking.

**   Room upgrades are available for a fee.

*** Your fee includes a minimum of 4 hours on track with full safety team and a group instructor for the day.

DEPOSIT REQUIRED: In order to confirm your place on the trip a £1,500.00 GBP deposit is required.  Balance is due by 15th February 2018.

This particular event has a 12 supercar limit.

The itinerary – Ascari Assault – Monday, 23rd April – Friday, 27th April 2018

Welcome to the itinerary for our April Ascari Assault. We have an awesome event planned culminating in a visit to the fabulous Ascari Race Resort. After a recent tour down to the resort, we are very excited to be able to open this event up to our members.

The event starts in the beautiful Alicante region and one of Europe’s finest Leading Hotels of the World, the 5* Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa. We kick off with dinner in their gastronomic In Black restaurant on the Monday evening and will go over our plans for the week ahead.

On Tuesday morning, we head out through the mountains before turning south towards Murcia and the 5* Intercontinental Menar Spa Resort.

On Wednesday morning, we head across into the Sierra Nevada with it’s stunning roads and scenery for what promises to be another amazing day of driving. Our destination is the lovely El Lodge resort high up in the mountains. We will have dinner overlooking the mountains before setting off on Thursday towards another Leading Hotel of the World, the 5* La Bobadilla in the Sierra de Loja, Granada.

We wake on Friday morning a 1 hour drive away from the Ascari Race Resort. On arrival, we will have a competitive karting challenge before lunch and then have 4 hours on track from 13:00 – 17:00 **. We will once again be joined by race driver Oliver Webb who will be looking after the group. At the end of the day we drive the fantastic road down to Marbella and the stunning 5* Villa Padierna where we will have a gala meal to celebrate the week.

Places are limited to a maximum of twelve supercars.

We look forward to welcoming you onto what we believe will be the first of many trips down to southern Spain and the Ascari Race Resort.

Monday 23rd April  Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa, Alicante

Drivers will arrive into the stunning 5* Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai & Spa in the afternoon where their cars will be waiting for them, shipping having been arranged from the UK*. The nearest airport is Alicante which is thirty minutes from the hotel and has many direct flights from the UK and many other destinations. The team will be waiting for you on arrival and will assist with check-in.

Drivers have the afternoon to relax in the hotel’s luxurious grounds before dinner in the acclaimed In Black gastronomic restaurant. Before dinner we will host a driver’s briefing where we will introduce the team and go over the logistics of the week ahead. We will be ensuring that all cars have radios installed and that drivers are comfortable and ready for the drive.

Tuesday 24th April Intercontinental Mar Menor Resort & Spa

On Tuesday morning, we head off early and make our way straight out onto fantastic roads that wind their way through the Muntanya d’ Alcant mountain range.

These roads were used by Lamborghini for the launch of the Aventadors, such is the quality of the road surface and the surrounding scenery.

Our destination is the 5* Intercontinental Mar Menor Resort & Spa hotel situated just south of Murcia. This is a great base to arrive into after our first day’s drive. We will have time to enjoy the hotel and it’s facilities in preparation for the following day’s drive into the Sierra Nevada.

 

Wednesday 25th April  El Lodge, Sierra Nevada

Wednesday promises to be yet another stunning day’s drive as we head directly west into the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

With mile after mile of pristine tarmac, this promises to be yet another amazing day as we weave our way high up into the mountains that reach over 3000m.

Our destination is the famed El Lodge ski resort. Described as “one of the best luxury hotels in the world, with magical views and an open-air heated pool”, this will be a welcome retreat at the end of yet another day of fantastic driving. The hotel also boasts a highly-acclaimed restaurant with views straight out over the mountains.

Thursday 26th April La Bobadilla, Sierra de Loja, Granada

Our destination is yet another jewel in the crown of the Leading Hotels of the World, the beautiful La Bobadilla, a Royal Hideaway 5*Grand Lux. Built in the style of a traditional Mediterranean village, the resort is made up of a cluster of white-washed houses, sun-dappled courtyards and breezy siIng areas under brick-vaulted arches. A grand and beau+fully located country estate, it has a stunning outdoor pool area surrounded by palm trees.

Before we arrive there however, there is the small ma`er of more great roads to tackle as we wind our way out of the Sierra Nevada into Granada. We recently drove on these roads and they are truly fantastic, with stunning scenery and little traffic.

Friday 27th April Ascari Race Resort, Ronda

The Ascari Race Resort is a one-of-a-kind drivers paradise. The track stretches over 5.5 kms and has 26 corners, all modelled on the best corners from circuits

around the world. We will leave La Bobadilla at 09:00 and arrive in to Ascari around 10:00. We then have a karting competition before lunch in their private villa which overlooks the circuit. The pits will be open from 13:00 to 17:00 and there is no limit to the amount of track time you can have during this time. We will once again be joined by Oliver Webb who will be looking after the group and taking everyone out for a session. Mechanics and group instructors will also be on hand to assist throughout the afternoon.

At the end of our track day we head down to the best hotel on the southern coast of Spain, the wonderful 5* Villa Padierna, known to many of our members. We will be hosting a gala evening to celebrate the week at one of the hotel’s many fantastic restaurants. At the resort we will have all the supercars on display in all their glory, If you are driving a Ferrari F12 or a Bentley GTC this is your time to marvel at the joy of your accomplishments and take it all in.

A £1,500.00 exc. VAT deposit is required in order to secure your place on the event.

The balance of your event fee is due by 15th February 2018.

Starr Luxury Cars and Club GT events reserves the right to amend the price should the value of the € (EUR) fluctuate by more than 5% against the £ (GBP). The advertised rate is £1.00 = €1.12 (21.12.17).

Your deposit is non-refundable if cancelled as we have to make payments in advance to secure hotels etc.

We advise you to take out yearly travel insurance that would cover you if there were any cancellations due to your health or the health of your family. The exception is that if Starr Luxury Cars/Club GT Events should cancel the event then deposits will be refunded in full.
